Reflecting on the Year & Setting Intentions

Setting intentions for the next 12 months.

  • Choose up to 3 areas that you'd like to focus on for the coming year e.g balanced relationships, a fulfilling career, an abundance of money.

  • Then for each one write a short statement, in the present tense as if you already have this. What are you doing? How are you feeling? What are you thinking? e.g. "Life is easy and I have enough money for the adventures that I want to experience. Money flows easily to me. I feel happy seeing my savings/investments grow"
Note: It's important that you FEEL the truth in what you write. If you don't believe it, it's going to be hard for you to receive it. The RAS (Reticular Activating System) in your brain stem will filter out all opportunities that point to what you want if you don't think it's possible.

  • Write an affirmation for each intention e.g. "I can, I believe, I am". "I am fearless". "I find it easy to trust others."

  • Now consider a theme, that you would like to embody for the year e.g. Courage and strength. Being carefree. Embracing vulnerability.

  • Finally, write different ways that you can practice that theme e.g. Seek opportunities that get me out of my comfort zone. Giving myself permission to make mistakes. Join an improv group or estatic dance class.
